We all gotta eat frequently & we can't always wash dishes, so that's when Peelware like Peel Plates comes in handy. The paper we use is unbleached with no plastics, forever chemicals, dyes or waxy coatings. We currently offer Peelware in two paper types. The Leak-Resistant option is fully backyard compostable with no coatings, but is intended for mostly dry foods. The standard Leakproof option for all meals & snacks is 99.5% biodegradable. It has an ultra-thin sand-based waterproof coating on the bottom side of each layer that is fully degradable, non-toxic & FDA approved.

Fully microwave-safe, but limit microwave-use to up to 1 minute at a time. If you need to continue re-heating provide a rest time of 20 seconds before heating again. It's heat-resistant up to 400 degrees, but do not microwave the plate without food on it. Food heats up faster than usual on Peel Plates when microwaved thanks to it's conductive properties from moisture trapped in the layers, but the plate doesn't get hot since the food absorbs the heat. It's suprising how fast food heats up on it, but the plate doesn't get too hot!

It can even be put in oven under supervision, but we advise against putting in oven, because even though the plates are new, non-perishable & very heat-resistant up to 400 degrees, in 4-5 years of not being used & stored incorrectly it's heat-resistance properties could go down by up to 50+ degrees & that could cause confusion & saftey issues. More studies & information will be provided soon about oven-use saftey.

It's extremely slice & cut-resistant to even use as a cutting board! Must be more careful when using serrated edges or a very sharpened knife, which as you know could also cut through wood too. For all the normal use-cases like cutting a steak you really won't cut through, even if you have to use a little care with an extra sharp knife.

It's the most heavy-duty paper plate down to the last layer thanks to the thick compostable base, which is under the top 15 layers, but above the 5 bottom layers.

It's satisfying & simple! Hold the peel tab with one hand while using the other to grip the top or bottom layer & peel away into the disposable bin to reveal the next clean layer.

We fold the edges downwards to protect each unused layer & avoid contamination. At the corner of the fold there's no space for germs to spread through, but if they do get contaminated you can just run it under water to clean since its hydrophobic or you cut off that part with scissors. Sometimes the edges get deformed over time or mishandled exposing the layers beneath more & that's normal.

It's very compact, heavy-duty & you can fling it like a frisbee hard at the wall usually without it coming apart. For normal-use it's better to handle with general care by not holding the plate by the folded down edges or using as a frisbee, to make sure the layers aren't seperated from the base. If they get seperated or pulled apart you can just put them back together for normal-use.

It's fully leakproof for 1-5+ hours, so worstcase just peel twice. It's normal if after a very soggy meal the next layer is fully dry, but looks warped for a few hours till it settles back down to flat. It happens because the layers are so tightly compact together, so the imprint pattern of the top layer transfers to the next few temporarily.

The new standard paper type after Feb 2026 will be 20% thicker & DOUBLE leakproof for the same low price! It makes a noticable difference, so get ready for Peelware to get even better!

In optimal environmental conditions the compostable materials will fully biodegrade in 2-5 weeks.

For the Leakproof paper type option, the ultra-thin sand-based coating on the bottom side of each layer, which makes up .5% of the total mass & is fully degradable in nature within 1-10 years with no harmful biproducts. It breaks down back into oxygen, organic compounds & silica, like sand or quartz.
