Our products come in two options, 100% compostable & leak-resistant or 99.5% compostable & fully leakproof.
The leakproof option is like parchment paper, which is coated in silicone oil, but ours is on the bottom-side in only trace amounts & highly purified, so it degrades into silica (SiOâ‚‚), water (Hâ‚‚O) & carbon dioxide (COâ‚‚). Regular parchment paper uses lower quality silicone that leeches & contains non-organic compounds that are not water-soluble & therefore bioaccumulate in bodies of water. Silicone oil in it's purest form is inert & doesn't break down like plastics do into microplastics & nano-plastics, but
